Illustration plays an essential part in graphic design,
and we frequently combine the two skills, for example
in logos, or to add a bit more individuality to a leaflet or poster.  

Ivan has been working as an artist for twenty years.
His career began in Rome, painting shop blinds as a holiday job, before moving to Lancaster in 1990 to train
as a professional illustrator at Blackpool & Fylde College. He then he took up a job as exhibitions designer for Lancashire Museums, and has worked as an artist, illustrator and graphic designer ever since. He enjoys working in a variety of styles, including traditional, figurative and digitally created work. His work has been used in a huge range of books and publications all over the world, which have included medical textbooks, natural history, archaeology, fiction and childrens’ books.
